How do I book a tour or visit the nursery?

You can visit our Contact Us page and contact us by telephone or email to schedule a visit.

We have a brochure available on our Home Page. Additionally, we can organise a phone call with our headteacher for you to ask any questions you may have.
We offer a settling in session for all children joining us which takes place at the beginning of their starting term. The children will meet their teachers, classmates and explore their classroom.

We recommend registering your child as soon as possible to secure a place and avoid disappointment. To visit our nursery, you can book a tour by emailing admissions@knightsbridgekindergarten.co.uk.

To register please visit our admissions page and complete the registration form along with the payment. Our Registrar will then contact you to confirm if there is an available place or if you will be placed on the waiting list. Please note that registration does not guarantee a place.

If there is an available place, our Registrar will send you an offer letter requesting a deposit of £2,000. Once the deposit is transferred, the place will be secured, and a confirmation letter will be sent. The deposit will be refunded in your final invoice, provided that a full term’s notice is given.
Our waiting list constantly changes, so we recommend contacting our Registrar for the most up-to-date information.

The ratios as outlined by Early Years Foundation Stage are:

2-3 years

  • 1 qualified adult: 4 children

3 years and above

  • 1 qualified – adult: 8 children

However, we exceed this minimum requirement as we ensure the highest quality care and education is provided.

Your child should bring the school backpack available from our uniform supplier, nappies and wipes, a change of clothes including underwear and socks. All to be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

We provide lunches and snacks that are healthy and nutritious from a company called Little Tums. Fresh meals and snacks are delivered each morning to the school.  Promoting healthy eating is a priority in our nursery.

The children’s progress is tracked through observations and learning journals using an app called Tapestry, which parents can access to see their child’s progress and updates.

EYFS stands for Early Years Foundation Stage. The EYFS is a curriculum implemented by the Government that outlines how we, as Early Years Teachers, ensure that your child is meeting the required developmental milestones. The EYFS is divided into 7 areas.

 3 prime areas:

  • Communication
  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Physical development

4 specific areas

  • Maths
  • Understanding the world
  • Literacy
  • Expressive arts and design

It is our responsibility to ensure that children are progressing appropriately for their age in these areas.

Forest School is an educational approach that emphasizes outdoor, nature-based learning. The approach originated in Skandinavia and teaches children about the world around them whilst developing cognitive skills like decision making and risk assessment.

The beautiful gardens of Belgrave Square are used by us each week for our Forest School classes led by our trained forest school teacher.

We have a partnership with all the local schools to ensure a smooth transition from nursery to school. We will have meetings with our parents to discuss future schools to help them make the right choice for their child. You can find a list of schools to which our children transition on our website.
Accidents do happen at nursery but of course we do our best to prevent them. If your child has an accident, we will inform you and provide any necessary First Aid. For serious incidents, we will seek professional advice through 999 or 101. We will keep you updated throughout this process. We record all accidents and incidents and can provide a record of these upon request.

Children will go outside daily, weather dependent, to play in our garden and local parks.

We go on regular walks to visit the library, park and other local places of interest.

We have many extracurricular activities such as music, dance, French, football and yoga included in the fees.

At the beginning of each term, you will be given a sessions form to complete indicating which afternoon sessions you would like your child to attend. Once this is received, you will then be sent an invoice for the fees by email which you can pay by bank transfer.

Funding is available for children from the term after their 3rd birthday. This is approximately £1,100 per term, however, this amount varies according to the length of the term. We do not offer 2 year old funding.

Yes we accept childcare vouchers.
We are fully inclusive, and we pride ourselves on adapting the care we provide to the individual needs of each child. We have a nursery SENCO and work collaboratively with parents and professionals to create individual play plans.
